Language of the Month
FATSIL has taken initiative steps to publish a series of articles entitled "Language of the Month".
These will take the form of contributions from different language areas throughout Australia, presenting stories, poems or songs, and including photos or artwork to complement the text.
"Language of the Month" begins with a contribution in Gumbaynggir from Northern NSW . The articles will be reproduced in this newsletter and you'll find the first one, featuring the poetry of Emily Walker, appears on pages 4 and 5 in volume 4.
Young Indigenous Writers Initiative
FATSIL is pleased to announce the launch of the Young Indigenous Writers Initiative.
